Worthy successor to the Sketchup 8 edition

I bought Sketchup 8 for Dummies in paperback a couple of years ago and keep it in my class room for my students to reference. It got me started with Sketchup, but then I had other things to do and didn't finish.
A couple of weeks ago, on an extended business trip, I had some down time and decided to spend it dinking around with Sketchup. Sketchup is pretty easy to learn, but like anything, you have to use it regularly or you just don't remember what you've learned. Since I didn't have the old paperback handy, I sprang for this in Kindle format. I'm pretty happy with the book. It got me back up to speed within an hour or so and by reading through the book I remembered to try, and then to more regularly use a number of techniques that make my use of the program faster and more fluent.

Excellent Tool, Bravo Aidan!

This book is an excellent tool. I am a professional Designer/ Draftsman. I graduated from HS prior to the PC era and was getting by hand-drawing until last year when I decided that now was the time to learn computer drafting. I self taught myself SketchUp and Layout and am producing beautiful working drawings and this book helped me and still does help me immensely. I have looked at and own several other manuals but this is the one I go to 99% of the time because it is so well put together and easy to navigate. Thank you Aiden Chopra! ... I am not sure I could have done it without your most excellent book.

Not much to say, it's a good tutorial that someone starting out with sketchup should own. I'm glad I bought it.
