James C. Cowan is Adjunct Professor of English at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He was the founder and editor of The D. H. Lawrence Review and author of D. H. Lawrence's American Journey: A Study in Literature and Myth (1970) and compiler and editor of D. H. Lawrence: An Annotated Bibliography of Writings about Him, Volumes I and II (1985).

Unfair business practice

I find it unfair to price a public domain book at $5 and not even bother to present a corrected OCI-ed text. The present text is full of OCI ("printing") errors, sometimes to the limit of illegibility.
